1.
Willard: I’ve been yellin’ myself hoarse on this radio every day. It’s just the weather dumps on us frequency here. An’ maybe my transmission doesn’t get through. I don’t know.
Man on Radio: I can’t understand one word of what you say, Mark.
Willard: (louder) It’s all going swell, sir.
(Outside, the drill machine is breaking down due to a hard object under the ground)
Billy: (to the driver of the bulldozer) Get the bit up! Get it out!
Willard: (hears the commotion and exits the tent) Turn it off! Off! (frantically waves his arms to the driver) Hey! Switch it off!
(The driver tries to turn the bulldozer off, but the drill snaps and rocks are flown up from the ground)
Willard: Argh!
(As they investigate the object, a worker on a snowmobile drives up to the site)
Snowmobiler: (to Willard) Think you’d better come and check out Site 2.
(Willard hops onto the back of the snowmobile)
Billy: (to Willard) What about this?
Willard: Blow through it.
(The snowmobiler drives Willard towards the other excavation site)
Willard: Find more meteorite?
Snowmobiler: Ha! No, something a little younger than that.
(They arrive at the site to see a huge stone-carved face in the snow)
Willard: Oh, no! (talks into radio) Billy, I don’t want ye to set that explosive! Do ye hear me? I do not want ye to set that explosive!
(Billy doesn’t hear Willard’s request and hits the detonator)
Willard: (covers his head from the blast) Wretched pyros!
(A little while later, Willard and his team uncover a gravestone that reads of a man named Paul Caulfield who died in 1834)
Willard: (scratches his head in wonder) This place’s had a busy history.

2.
Willard: (through radio) Tech four to five. Do you read me, Tech five? Tech… (becomes impatient) Tony, ye loon, I know you’re there…
(A blue spark of electricity arcs over the front of the receiver and the device cuts out)
